Facility located at site of former Holland College building expected to open spring 2025
The new Summerside Community Health Centre is expected to open by spring 2025. - ContributedSaltWire's Atlantic regional weather forecast for August 22, 2023 | SaltWireSUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — After a bit of delay, the province is gearing up for the construction of a new health centre in Summerside.
“Without a doubt, residents of Summerside must have access to appropriate and timely medical care here in our community,” he said. “The Community Health Centre plays a role in that, and we certainly, as a community, need it.”The 48,000 square feet facility will be located near Granville and Ryan streets in Summerside, at the site of the former Holland College; the old, dilapidated building was demolished in Aug. 2022.
