STRATFORD, P.E.I. — P.E.I. Ground Search and Rescue is gearing up for a mock search exercise near Fullerton Creek Conservation Park on Saturday, May 11.
Training will begin on MacIntosh Drive in Stratford around 4 p.m. and may continue into dusk or nightfall. Residents can expect additional traffic in the area, including P.E.I. GSAR members' personnel vehicles, ground search and rescue vehicles, trailers, personnel and vehicles from partner agencies.This training aims to provide rescue team members with a chance to practice search and incident management, deployment of resources, basic searcher skills and qualification requirements for the new 2024 class of recruits.
