In the cold and dark: Over 22,000 customers in Nova Scotia are without power this morning.

SaltWire Network | Posted: 1 minutes ago | Updated: 2 minutes ago | 1 Min ReadSTORY CONTINUES BELOW THESE SALTWIRE VIDEOSAs of Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m.,Environment Canada has an extreme cold warning in place with coldest windchills of -37 to -43C, with maximum winds blowing 70 to 80km/h.

"Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes," Environment Canada staff wrote in the warning. The warning said the winds will improve Saturday afternoon but until then, frostbite can develop on exposed skin within minutes.
