“As long as we get the weather this year we will have something,” said Margaret Kuchma, president of the society.Glace Bay outdoor skate park planning continues He is now helping the group obtain government funding to put a more permanent skating structure in the park. When that first rink initiative fell through, he offered the plans for the estimated $120,000 structure to the No. 11 group and started looking at funding for it.
During park walkway digging endeavours, the society also built a small toboggan hill, which kids will also get to use if snow ever falls in the area.
