Oklahoma once again rebuilt its roster through the transfer portal ahead of one final run through the grueling Big 12 slate.
After living life on the bubble throughout his first year in Norman, the Sooners weren’t close to making the NCAA Tournament last year, finishing bottom in the Big 12 Conference., but Moser and his coaching staff once again had to dive into the transfer portal to rebuild the roster.“I think what feels different with the portal this year is I think just the flat out talent level,” Moser said at local media day late in October. “I think we got a little older.
Not only will he look to expand his offensive game this year, but he’s stepped up into a leadership role in the locker room.“He’s playing with great pace. His shot looks better,” Moser said. “His leadership was better. On every facet, I’m excited for his development. That’s what you want. That’s why in this day and age, kids being able to transfer portal, you just lock in and have a great offseason. He’s definitely ready for the next step.
OU staged a scrimmage last week for the fans in preparation for the season opener, something Moser thought was important not only to help decide his rotations to start the year but to get all his new faces acclimated to a game day at the Lloyd Noble Center.
