The federal government is sending help to Newfoundland after the province was hammered with a historic snowfall that buried homes and triggered a state of emergency in St. John’s.

The intense snowfall that brought St. John's and many other communities to a standstill on Friday slowed overnight and ended in the capital Saturday morning. "I was hallucinating.
