DeBrincat gave Ottawa a 2-1 lead 3:55 into the third when he scored his seventh goal of the season with assists from Shane Pinto and Tim Stutzle. Batherson scored on the power play at 9:15 of the final stanza to give Ottawa an insurance marker it needed.Trenin had given Nashville a 1-0 lead at 16:57 of the second with his second goal of the season.
Giroux tied the game at 1-1 with 7.5 seconds remaining in the period on the power play when he cleaned up a rebound.
