The capital's professional women's hockey team wants to make a power-packed impact on the city and league through its new name, the Ottawa Charge.after a first season competing under their city names. Ottawa is going with a red, grey and yellow colour scheme and a stylized, spinning O designed to appear in motion.', nodding to its constant state of dynamic growth and forward progress as Canada's Capital City," according to a league news release.Its logo tries to evoke the energy and electricity of the team and its fans, while the redesigned website promises "high-voltage hockey" and asks visitors to "join the surge.
