An Ottawa man is facing child pornography charges following an investigation into alleged child luring, police say.
A 33-year-old was charged Thursday with luring a person under the age of 18 through telecommunication, making child pornography, possessing child pornography and sending sexually explicit material to a person under the age of 18.
The investigation was initiated by the Waterloo Regional Police Service in December 2023, said the Ottawa Police Service in a Friday morning news release. The man was arrested Thursday at a residence in Ottawa's east end, according to police, and is scheduled to appear in court Friday.Investigators are warning the public there may be other victims and are asking people to contact the force's internet child exploitation unit should they have information.
