The federal government discreetly made the change in May for Canadian citizens and permanent residents, and extended it to all foreign nationals, including American citizens, at the end of the month of July, confirmed the Canada Border Services Agency on Friday.
“Foreign nationals who do not submit their information in ArriveCAN on subsequent trips will not be allowed to enter Canada,” she added. “The one-time mulligan has released our officers from being IT consultants almost 100% of their day to allowing them to go do the jobs that they’re trained to do,” he said.
