In recent years, my ongoing quest for Middle Eastern breakfasts led me to Tirweka in Kanata and Semsem in South Keys, two cafes that I wish were a little closer to where I live. Now, I’m glad to have the more central Ottawa Kabab as an option for when I’m craving fatteh hummus, which elevates chickpeas, tahini, yogurt, toasted pita bread and more into a layered, savoury treat.
