Nic Whitehead's second goal of the game, at 16:52 of the third period, proved to be the game-winner, breaking a 4-4 tie. Whitehead also contributed two assists, while Luca Pinelli notched two goals for the 67's (15-21-3-5). Matthew Souliere rounded out the scoring for Ottawa.
Ethan Hay, Cedrick Guindon, Gage Heyes, and Tuomas Uronen all found the back of the net for the Frontenacs (25-12-5-2).
