Nadezda Calderone, 53, of Oshawa, won a $1-million Maxmillions prize on the June 21 draw. She bought the lucky ticket at one of the Shell locations on Simcoe Street.
She found out when her husband checked the ticket on his phone. “I heard him screaming so I went to see what was happening and I gasped when I saw his phone screen,” she said. “I couldn’t believe it.”
