On Friday, at 11:05 p.m., Durham police were called to the area of Deer Valley Drive and Snowbird Street in Oshawa. They say the Air1 police helicopter was repeatedly struck by a green laser, creating an immediate and serious safety risk by endangering the lives of those onboard.Officers, found them and took the suspect into custody.Arsh Sharma, 27, of Oshawa is charged with: Mischief Endangering Life x2, Being Intoxicated in a Public Place, and Fail to Appear.Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Cst.
