In the first round, the Generals eliminated the Barrie Colts in six games while the 67s got by the Brantford Bulldogs, also in six games.“It’s going to be a good series, I think we match up very well against them. I think special teams are going to play a key role and it’s going to come down to compete and battle,” Laxdal said. “For our group here, we have to make sure that we start on time. The games that we played them we seemed to be chasing the game.
“Obviously both teams made some trade deadline deals and I think we went 1-1 after that,” Laxdal said. While Oshawa is the 1st seed, Laxdal said the seeding doesn’t really matter as the Eastern Conference was close all season. The 67s were 6th and upset the 3rd place Bulldogs.
