Paper hearts with the theme 'Every Child Matters' will commemorate Orange Shirt Day and the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation
The downtown library branch is offering local residents the chance to create some art with heart in an event titled, "Every Child Matters: Caring Hearts Art."
To commemorate Orange Shirt Day and the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, children and adults of all ages are being invited to visit the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library during opening hours from Friday, Sept. 29 to Sunday, Oct. 1 to design a "caring heart". "These paper hearts, containing messages of caring, will be placed on our front lawn to honour the truth that Every Child Matters," the library said in a news release.Learn more about activities at the library at ssmpl.ca.
