The opposition are calling on government to recall the legislature to amend the Memorial University Act.
PC education critic Barry Petten says they support a simple amendment to the act to give MUNFA representation on the Board of Regents. He says the impact of the strike is being felt by thousands across the province, with those worried about their graduation date. He says in light of a recent decision by the university, government needs to pull back the curtain of secrecy, which could be done in a couple of hours in the legislature.
