Police said the tractor-trailer was intercepted on Friday afternoon on Highway 401 close to Dixon Road.
The Ontario Provincial Police have recovered two Lexus SUVs allegedly stolen and transported out of Scarborough on a tractor-trailer container Friday morning., at around 11 a.m.
Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said OPP officers located the tractor-trailer after the transport’s car company advised authorities of the incident. The driver of the tractor trailer has been taken in custody, Schmidt told the Star. No charges have been laid out so far. An investigation is ongoing, and it is unknown at this time when or where the SUVs were stolen.
