The OPP have charged a Correctional Service Canada employee with trafficking substances within Collins Bay Institution.

As a result, Darren Blanchard, 47, of Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township has been charged with breach of trust. He’s also been charged under the Corrections and Conditional Release Act with possession of contraband beyond the visitor control point in a penitentiary and delivering contraband to an inmate. He is also charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
