, Heather Lezon, expressed. After witnessing and recording a brutal assault and having co-workers summon the police, the responding officers indicated that there was nothing they could do.
We know the police force is understaffed, but when citizens make the effort Lezon did, we expect more than being told “our hands are tied” by the police. The repeated occurrence of this kind of response will only lead to more and more citizens carrying weapons to protect themselves and others. Let’s see how that works out.
