Opinion: When it comes to gun violence, nation needs more than thoughts and prayers [Opinion]

We have accepted mass shootings as “ the new normal” for over a decade. Oh yes, we offer thoughts and prayers; write “letters to the editor “ and, may even call a legislator. But then lots of disinterest . We are after all , the nation who worships the Second Amendment and the “ Nation of Guns” it has created.
