As a political organizer, I can tell you that elections are largely won on data, but not passive data. Though it’s lovely to have information or the online followership of potential supporters, how engaged those people are with you is what counts the most. Some argue that Poilievre’s social media savvy makes him seem more approachable and connected to regular people. It also means more people have a front-row seat to his personality and can form quick opinions, some of them damaging. Many have commented on his perceived anger and bitterness.
