” : I am totally upset over the electricity problem. It seems unreasonable to have everyone use electric vehicles when there isn’t the source of power to handle all the drivers. As for solar, Rick Warne is right. We all would use unlimited power if given the chance without extra cost.

I don’t have solar. As a senior and a low user, due to major conservation efforts, the investment is unreasonable. These flat rate ideas would punish my conservation efforts. Just today a notice arrived: If I lower use during peak hours, I will get a discount. I already conserve during peak hours. Therefore, I won’t receive the discount. Unfair.La Mesa

I have just read the essays and have a major concern. This new billing will increase my monthly electricity cost by 75 percent. We’ve reduced our electric usage as much as possible. How is this new law even remotely fair to the hundreds of thousands of California residents who listened to the pleas coming from Sacramento over the last few decades to go solar, conserve energy, etc., and are now having this ridiculous piece of legislation/energy policy shoved down our throats.
