Opinion: How many people have, during COVID-induced fever dreams, had to confront demons that they weren’t yet ready to face, much less, ready to face alone?
As I sat in bed the morning I wrote this, my fever finally breaking, spring light flooding into my apartment and my mom on speaker phone, I felt emotionally renewed.
I wonder if in times of illness our bodies do not discriminate between what needs healing and instead asks us to focus on all things inside of us that hurt, whether it be a virus or a heartache. During my experience with COVID, my body asked me to lick all of my wounds.
