“Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing,” Theodore Roosevelt said. While he had a point, he left out another important aspect of putting in the extra hours—getting paid for them.
Today, the Trump administration is making it easier for hard-working Americans to do just that. The Labor Department is publishing a final rule to raise the salary threshold under which all employees, regardless of occupation, are eligible for overtime pay.
