," : George Curry, who is listed as one of the complainants on death row who filed a lawsuit against Texas over prison conditions, was convicted in 2014 of killing 19-year-old Edward Virappen during a robbery at a Popeye’s Chicken restaurant.

Curry ordered two employees in a cooler in the back and even though Edward complied with his instructions, he was still shot to death. Curry was on federal parole at the time of the murder. None of this is in your story. The article mentions other inmates but fails to inform its readers of what they did to end up on death row. There is no mention of who their victims were. Quid pro quo, I urge you to mention their victims’ names as a simple act of fairness and balance.

I’ll bet Edward and other victims of death row inmates also wish they weren’t kept in a lifetime of solitary confinement, had access to medical care while they were dying, had a chance to see the sky before taking their final breath and had one last opportunity to cleanse themselves for eternity. Never forget the victims of Texas death row inmates.

," : Reader David Snyder's statement that"The problem is not gun ownership or the look of the weapon, but the person pulling the trigger with a complete disregard for safe and sane gun use" is a gross oversimplification of the problem. If everyone used guns safely and sanely, we wouldn't have a problem.
