It’s hard to get to, it’s pretty homely , I’m pretty sure it is a great echo chamber and, let’s face it, “downtown” is a concept that is just not saleable in the car-centric suburban living that all major cities in America predominantly exist in.
For good or evil, so it will be here in Houston as The POST moulders awaiting that glorious day when everyone lives “downtown” — albeit hundreds of feet in the air. By then it won’t be “downtown,“ but “Lake Downtown” as Houston sucks its groundwater dry and slowly subsides below sea level.
