TORONTO -- Ontario health officials are reporting a slight dip in the number of new COVID-19 cases as the province prepares to announce Stage 3 of its The 116 new cases reported Monday is a slight decrease from the 129 reported on Sunday and the 130 reported on Saturday.
“Having seen a continued decline in the number of new COVID-19 cases as the province entered Stage 2, and with hospitalizations being at all-time lows, today we’re providing details about Stage 3 of our plan to continue the safe and gradual reopening the province,” Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott said on Monday.
Officials also reported that 29 of the province’s 34 public health units are reporting five or fewer cases, and 21 of them are reporting no new cases at all.
