Ontario Provincial Police say the chicks disappeared from a farm in South Huron, amounting to a loss of $42,000.
The Ontario Provincial Police are searching for 30,000 baby chicks that went missing from a farm in South Huron, a small municipality in southwestern Ontario, just north of London.
Jokes aside about whether the chicks were just trying to cross the road, the OPP are treating the investigation as a theft, and say that the total value of the loss is $42,000. Police won’t comment on when the theft occurred, saying they can’t provide additional information as it is an ongoing investigation.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, 1-800-222-TIPS, or leave a web tip at
