Police declined to answer whether the alleged assault victim and alleged criminal harassment victim are the same person

Liberal Member of Parliament Marwan Tabbara was charged by police in a neighbouring Ontario riding after his arrest for an alleged assault, break and enter and harassment.

When contacted by National Post, a spokesman for Tabbara’s office said Tabbara would not be speaking about the charges. Guelph Police Const. Brian Murphy confirmed the arrest of the Member of Parliament but said little information could be released at this time, other than the basic charge information.
