Ontario taps Science North to boost STEM learning
The province is teaming up with Science North to expand advanced STEM learning opportunities for Ontario elementary school students.
“Preparing Ontario’s young people for the careers of the future is a key priority for our government, which is why we have updated the curriculum over the past five years to put a much stronger emphasis on STEM learning in our classrooms,” said Lecce, during his Sudbury visit. Lecce said the funding supports Ontario's commitment to STEM learning, skilled trades apprenticeships and modernizing the curriculum to help students enter careers in a wider range of sectors including construction, transportation, manufacturing and computer technology.
