All major party leaders did more to worsen their impression as leaders among voters in the first week of the campaign than they did to improve it, according to the poll.
While only nine per cent of respondents say their impression of the Liberal party leader improved over the previous week and 45 per cent say their opinion of him was unchanged, 24 per cent said their impression of Del Duca worsened — a metric where he placed second to Doug Ford: 26 per cent of respondents said their opinion of the Tory leader worsened in the last week.
The numbers get even more grim for Del Duca when broken down by party, where a little less than half of declared Liberal voters say their own party’s leader would be the best choice for premier.
