This week is the last of the 2022 election and the major party leaders have the gas pedal to the floor.

Over the weekend, Doug Ford, Andrea Horwath, Steven Del Duca and Mike Schreiner travelled the province pitching their platforms and bashing each other’s ideas and candidates.In a news release sent out from the Green Party of Ontario, Mike Schreiner promised to stop Ford’s “expensive sprawl.”

Highway 413 would pave over 4,000 acres of farmland slice through the province’s Greenbelt, the Greens said. “More than one week ago a storm devastated many neighbourhoods in Ottawa and there are still thousands without power. Yet days after the storm Doug Ford cancelled a planned trip to Ottawa last week,” a statement from the Ontario Liberals read.

While it wasn’t supposed to be political, Del Duca held a live press conference and posed for official campaign photos in front of destroyed homes., we hear that Ford wants MPPs to stop taking allowances from their riding associations in addition to six-figure salaries from tax payers.

“People want real progress, they want to know there’s a government that is truly on their side,” Del Duca saidAndrea Horwath yesterday announced her party’s plans to stop cuts to long-term care, and today she teamed up with thein Toronto to announce the NDP would spend more on health care and hire 30,000 more nurses.
