Ambriana Ricks was 23 when she died last April, after suffering injuries from a car accident near Whitesboro.
In the year since her death, her parents, Amber and David Ricks of Melissa, say they have missed Ambriana’s spark and passion.
Wu, who was diagnosed at age 16 with systemic lupus, and then kidney disease, was receiving nightly dialysis until he got a call last April that a kidney was available, according to a Texas Health Resources news release. The Ricks said they were “thankful to see Wu doing so well,” the release said, after meeting him and his mother, Debbie Dunn.
