Nine people have been taken to the hospital after a demonstration “turned violent” on Saturday morning at Earlscourt Park, near Caledonia Road and St. Clair Avenue West, according to Toronto police.
Officers were initially called to the scene around 10 a.m. after reports of a fight in the area, a person with a knife and tents in the park on fire.
