The one hectare fire is about 15 kilometres east of Hearst and it is not under control."The fire hazard south of Highway 101 to the southern most part of the fire region is showing a low fire hazard," said Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services in a news release.
"Areas north of Highway 101 has a fire hazard of moderate to high, with a large area of extreme fire hazard from Hearst and Cochrane to Moosonee."There was 1 new wildland fire confirmed by late afternoon today, Sunday, June 23. There are currently 3 active wildland fires in the Northeast Fire Region.
