A two-alarm fire erupted in a North York residential neighbourhood, resulting in one individual being hospitalized. Toronto fire crews responded to the scene and managed to contain the blaze, but not before it caused significant damage to the two-storey home. Thankfully, all occupants were able to evacuate safely.
A two-alarm fire broke out at a home in North York 's Hillcrest Village neighbourhood, sending one person to the hospital. The blaze occurred at 10 Lehar Cres., just north of Finch Avenue East and east of Leslie Street. Toronto fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames engulfing the two-storey residence. Although all occupants were safely out of the house upon their arrival, a male patient sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.
Firefighters successfully brought the fire under control and remained on scene conducting overhaul and ventilation operations to ensure its complete extinguishment.
