LOUISBOURG, N.S. — When the term geriatric millennial went viral a few years ago, the internet exploded with tweets and memes poking fun at people born between 1980 and 1985.on May 10 and 11 to film “Geriatric Millennial” and share his take on bridging the generational divide with local audiences through his unique mix of passionate rants and brutally honest jokes.“I think it made us the best generation — I mean, not the greatest generation like World War Two, but we’re pretty good.
“So I have a joke about how weed is now legal and just the idea of them adding tax to it just feels off — it's just not the way my dealer used to do it; he never added tax to weed,” said Beaton. “And the idea of weed is legal now and how crazy that actually is when you think that before 2019 it was illegal to chill out after work. So that's a joke from the special that'll be in there.”
“Now comics are just doing their own thing and honestly, it's a beautiful thing because it's one of those things I've always wanted to do. I've been waiting but it was basically like, ‘When will I get a chance? Will somebody see me and say, ‘Do this’? And now it's like, ‘No, just do it yourself, film it yourself.’ You can put it on YouTube and just promote it, and get people to see it that way.
