One person has died following a Monday morning crash on Highway 19A in Qualicum Beach. Southbound traffic was disrupted for about an hour and a half as emergency crews responded. A B.C.

A B.C. Emergency Health Services spokesperson said in a statement that three ambulances and an air ambulance were dispatched after they recieved a call at 9:11 a.m. for a motor vehicle incident. “Paramedics cared for one patient but did not transport anyone to hospital.” CHEK news reported that police said the single-vehicle crash occurred after the driver suffered a medical incident and passed away behind the wheel.
