A driver died in an early morning Sunday crash after police said they crossed multiple lanes on the Willowcreek Bypass in Portage before hitting a guardrail and rolling their vehicle.
Portage Police were called at 2:30 a.m. Sunday to the area of the Willowcreek Bypass for a single-vehicle crash, according to a release.
Police found a 2004 Jeep Liberty rolled over on its roof in the middle of the roadway. A preliminary investigation showed the Jeep was northbound from the area of the Indiana Toll Road entrance when it lost control entering into a right hand curve at the south end of the bypass.The vehicle crossed all lanes of travel before striking the guardrail on the west side of the roadway. The collision resulted in the vehicle rolling on its roof.
