Canadian ice dancers Tracy Wilson and Rob McCall remained in third place after another portion of their event — the tango — occurred. Another demonstration sport, short track speedskating, was creating buzz. A Korean won the men’s 1500-metre event, but just behind him in the silver spot was Louis Grenier of Canada. The sport, which became an official Olympic sport in 1992, has become one in which Canada has won more than three dozen medals over the years.
