With the popularity of the first Octoberfest in 2022, the Clarendon Hills Chamber of Commerce is holding the event again on Sept. 9.
The Clarendon Hills Chamber of Commerce’s Oktoberfest is returning to the village’s downtown on Sept. 9. A photo from 2022.
“One thing different we are doing this year is closing all of Prospect, from the railroad tracks to Park Avenue, because of the great turnout we had last year,” said Shannon McDonald, the Chamber’s event manager. “Last year, we only closed part of Prospect.” Another local business, Tierra Distilling, will be selling $6 drink tickets with one ticket being good for one beer and two tickets being worth one cocktail.
“It’s really great to get as many of our businesses as possible involved in an event like this,” McDonald said. “The Chamber is really kind of a bridge between our businesses and the people. We want to bring people — residents and those from neighboring communities, into the village so they can see the wonderful things our businesses have to offer.
