Draisaitl opened the scoring at 2:48 of the first period by getting a loose puck and lifting it into the top half of the net during a goal-mouth scramble. The Canucks rallied with back-to-back goals by Pettersson and Hronek in less than two minutes of the second period to make it 3-2.
