Ohio State men's tennis clobbered Purdue Friday night, clinching at least a share of the program's 17th consecutive Big Ten title. (Yes, you read that right.)

But with a crushing 4-0 win over Purdue at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center Friday evening, the Ohio State men's tennis program clinched at least a share of its 17th consecutive Big Ten title.

Doubles pairs Robert Cash/Justin Boulais and Andrew Lutshaunig/J.J. Tracy earned 6-2 and 6-1 wins to claim the doubles point and get Ohio State out to a quick lead. No. 20 Cannon Kingsley wasted no time dispatching Purdue's Daniel Labrador, 6-1 and 6-4, No. 29 James Trotter rolled to a 6-1 and 6-0 win, and No. 46 Alexander Bernard dispatched Milledge Cassu 6-2 and 6-2 to complete the sweep in just one hour and 45 minutes of action.

Ohio State improved to a perfect 8–0 in the Big Ten and 16–0 at home this season. The Buckeyes welcome Indiana Sunday at noon. With a win against the Hoosiers, Ohio State will claim the Big Ten title outright. The program's 17 straight titles are a new Big Ten record, eclipsing the previous conference record of 16 straight set by Michigan from 1968-1983.
