The Ohio Legislature is currently considering two new death penalty bills.

Jamison showed us an article from The Cincinnati Enquirer that still hangs on his wall. He also showed us a National Geographic article he carries with him. They both remind him of the 20 years he spent on death row before a judge determined he couldn't have been the killer. He was originally condemned to death in 1985.

“Killing someone through legal means doesn’t take away the pain of my father being murdered,” said Mann. “It doesn’t eliminate the years of horror and pain that I’ve experienced. It doesn’t bring my father back.” Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said the fact that 11 Ohioans have been exonerated from death row in the past 50 years isn't a rebuke of the death penalty. Instead, he said it actually affirms that the appeal and review process is effective.
