Experts have made it well known that individuals looking to safely view the celestial spectacle need to wear glasses designed with protective lenses. "Viewing any part of the bright Sun through a camera lens, binoculars, or a telescope without a special-purpose solar filter secured over the front of the optics will instantly cause severe eye injury," officials of NASA said.Nikon USA officials shared that when photographing the annual solar eclipse, "you also need to use a 'solar filter' to keep from harming your camera's imaging sensor as well as for correct exposure.
While the eclipse if just hours away, these solar filters can still be bought at Best Buy, Walmart and several other stores.
