No arrests have been reported in the shooting, which occurred at about 10:43 p.m. Sunday on the 500 block of Noble Avenue, south of Copley Road. Police say at least one gunman fired shots from a vehicle, possibly an SUV, as both victims arrived at a residence for a gathering. Officers found Murphy in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at 11 p.m. at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center.
