A person was shot Monday in a North Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
Shortly before 5 p.m., officers responded to a report of a possible shooting in the 6200 block of San Pablo Avenue in the city’s Paradise Park neighborhood.
When officers arrived, they found a person at a nearby gas station inside a vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound, and provided treatment until paramedics and Oakland Fire Department firefighters arrived. The victim was taken to a hospital and later listed in stable condition. Police did not provide descriptions of any suspect or associated vehicle.
For information leading to the arrest of a suspect, police are offering up to $5,000 in the shooting. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers of Oakland at 510-777-8572.
