New York City kids under 5 still have to mask up in schools and child care settings, Mayor Adams says. JohnBDias reports on what's behind the decision:
The city's health commissioner said Friday cases of theBA.2 are surging and expected to get worse in the next few weeks. The latest Health Department numbers show the seven day positivity rate is up to 2.67% -- a week prior, it was 2.26%.
"They're the last ones to get hospitalized, or you know, the numbers are way down. Even with cases going up in New York city, hospitalization rates and deaths down," she said.
