Eastern Health has announced some temporary changes at the Bonavista Peninsula Health Centre as the health authority continues to navigate the physician shortage.
From 2 p.m. today until 8 a.m. tomorrow the emergency room will be staffed by a nurse practitioner who will be supported by a physician available virtually. Patients are encouraged to go to the emergency department at the centre where they will be assessed and transferred if necessary.
